NestLife is a 100% black-owned and managed life assurance company. Vusi Sithole bought 74% of the company in 1996. In 1999 he bought the remaining share that Capital Alliance held, to own 100%. He drives our tight-knit team, driven by key values. Utilising management expertise, ever-evolving business system capability and direct strategic marketing, we have achieved strong, leveraged growth over the years.

TIMELINE

• 2006 – NestLife Risk Administrators is established

• 2003 – A Durban branch is opened

• 2000 – NestLife is granted a national licence by the Financial Services Board

• 1999 – Phakama buys the remaining Capital Alliance stake and the name of the company is changed to NestLife Assurance Corporation Ltd

• 1996 – Vusi Sithole takes controlling stake from Capital Alliance using his investment company, Phakama Investment Holdings

• 1988 – NestLife is established (as Life & Pensions Corporation Ltd) operating solely in the North West Province
